Our School
We are proud of every child who attends Swarcliffe Primary School. We see the potential in every child and encourage them all to achieve this. Everyone is included.
We are a 1 and a half form entry school with Nursery through to Year 6. Our school is organised into 4 phases:
- Early Years Foundation Stage: Nursery, Reception Class 1 and Reception Class 2.
- Key Stage One: Year 1, Year 1/2, Year 2.
- Lower Key Stage Two: three mixed Year 3/4 classes.
- Upper Key Stage Two: three mixed Year 5/6 classes.
Most of our classes are mixed year groups as we have found this to be the most successful way of working for our school, and more importantly, our children. Children achieve well in these mixed classes.
Admissions
We currently have over 323 children on roll.
Entry into Reception - most of our children come in from our own Nursery. Others come from a variety of local settings including Swarcliffe Children's Centre. We welcome children who are new to area or who have been with private childcare providers.
