EYFS Home Learning
Hello everyone. To ensure that your child's learning continues, whilst you are trying your best to stay safe at home, we will add a selection of different learning activities to Tapestry each day as well as a daily story time Zoom. Make sure that you log on as much as you can to keep up to date with all the tasks that are set. To ensure your child's learning continues at home, we really encourage you to have a go at the challenges that we set.

Useful Reading and Writing Websites and Links
Oxford Owl
Oxford owl is a really useful site. It has online versions of the Read Write Inc. books that we use in phonics lessons as well as lots of additional books for children to practise their reading skills. Please see the Tapestry upload "Oxford Owl" for your log in details. Please email or message your class teacher on Tapestry to find out which level your child is on.
Phonics Play

Phonics play has lots of games to support children's sound recognition and reading. Please email or message your class teacher on Tapestry to find out which phase your child is on.

The phonics programme that we follow in school have provided short phonics lessons on Youtube during the school closure. Please message your class teacher via email or Tapestry to find out which lessons your child would benefit from accessing. There are also some great parent information videos that explain how to use the lesson videos and support your child's reading and writing at home.

Topmarks

Topmarks is a website that the children access in school. There are lots of great interactive maths games and activities linked to both the Number and Shape, Space and Measure strands of the Early Year Curriculum.
Number Blocks

Cbeebies Numberblocks is a great programme for children to watch. We use it to introduce each number of the week. Their way of respresenting each number along side the stories and songs really enables children to develop and embed their understanding of number.
White Rose Maths

We use White Rose Maths to support our planning in the EYFS. During school closure they have prepared excellent home learning lessons. You could use these alongside the daily maths activities that we are uploading to Tapestry.
Additional Weekly Resources
In addition to the daily challenges on Tapestry, we have provided weekly supporting resources and extra ideas below. These include activities and worksheets that cover all 17 areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. If you would like a paper copy of the additional weekly challenges please let your class teacher know via Tapestry or class email.
