Food Ambassadors

Swarcliffe Food Ambassadors
At Swarcliffe Primary, our Food Ambassadors play a fundamental role in how our lunch hall is organised and in choosing the foods which go on our lunch menus. They represent the voices of all children across school. As well as this, they support our lunchtime staff in rewarding children with raffle tickets which could earn them a place on Friday’s Golden Table!
Congratulations to the following children, who have been chosen by their teachers. They all look forward to attending their first meeting on later on this half term. Keep checking this page to find out what the Food Ambassadors have been up to.

Re-think Your Drink
As part of our Healthy Schools initiative, Food Ambassadors have been thinking about the sugar in our drinks. We looked at some of the most popular drinks that we like and explored how much sugar is in each one. The results were amazing and certainly made some of us think about our future choices. Our results are displayed in the dinner hall.

New Menu Tasters
Food Ambassadors sampled delicious dishes from our new menus this week. From chicken sausage to aubergine and chickpea curry, our ambassadors tried everything and the results were very positive! A firm favourite was the vegetable spring rolls along with banana and gingerbread sponge. We look forward to seeing what the rest of school think from November.
