· to ensure high expectations of positive behaviour, with clear and consistent rewards and sanctions for all learners.
· to ensure a welcoming, friendly and safe atmosphere that all learners are excited to be part of.
· to recognise that all learners are unique and by including everyone we can exceed our potential
· to recognise, motivate, guide and inspire learners to meet their full potential.
· to ensure all learners experience, enjoy and maintain a learning environment that is stimulating, exciting, inspiring and interactive.
· to provide a positive Swarcliffe Learning Community by encouraging, valuing and involving parents, carers, families, other services and the wider community.

At Swarcliffe Primary School we believe in every child’s right to an exciting, challenging and enjoyable education. We believe successful home-school partnerships are essential in developing children’s positive attitude to learning, behaviour and achievement whilst they are at Swarcliffe Primary School and Nursery. As parents we want the best for our children. We want regular, reliable, accessible information about our child’s progress and achievement. When our children experience difficulties we want to work with the school to support in any way we can. Parents are always welcome in school to work with staff to help their child achieve and succeed.
OFSTED said about our school…”pupils are very well motivated and enjoy learning because teachers make lessons interesting and fun…..The quality and range of the curriculum are good and well extended through extra curricular clubs….Pupils have very positive attitudes towards school and they behave very well….Teachers and other staff provide very good personal support for pupils, it helps them to feel safe and secure.” Our classrooms were described as “lively and rich learning environments…where tasteful displays of pupils’ work, books, fabrics and artefacts create a warm stimulating learning environment”
We are proud of our report and feel it reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication of all our staff and pupils.
