Leopards Class Assembly
Monday 6th March
Children in Leopards showed off their learning this morning in their class assembly. After reading The Spiderwick Chronicles last half term, children shared their writing about Boggarts; demonstrated their handmade musical instruments and explained the difference between high and low pitches using a drum and recorder. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to support the children and staff. Well done Leopards!
Magna Science Museum
Thursday 1st February 2017
Year 3/4 children enjoyed a Science adventure at Magna today. Not only did they take part in a workshop based around ‘How Sound is Made’, children explored the four scientific elements of Earth, Air, Water and Fire. From making sounds out of a paper cup and a wet cloth to watching a fire tornado, children had a fantastic time.
Thank you to all the staff who came along and gave children a great day!
How we use money with Natwest!
On the morning of Thursday 10th November, Natwest bankers came to work with Year 3/4 on money activities. Children took part in three activities in which we explored the differences between ‘needs’ and ‘wants’; ways in which our families spend money and our choices around how to use money (spend, save or donate).
Children really enjoyed working with our special visitors and impressed them with our knowledge of money. Take a look at our photos from our spectacular morning…
